The role: Institutional Sales
As our first Institutional Sales, you will own Spiko's distribution to the European financial services ecosystem. You will identify, sign, and develop relationships with fintechs, asset managers, investment vehicles, family offices and large wealth management firms, helping them put their regulatory capital, client funds, and treasury to work with Spiko.
This is a high-stakes, high-autonomy role. Under the supervision of the Head of Sales, you will be building a new vertical from the ground up. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the founders on strategic accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Hunting & Closing: identify and sign institutional clients across Europe, such as fintechs required to safeguard client funds (EMIs, payment institutions), asset managers and regulated investment vehicles (SGPs, funds), and large financial intermediaries with significant AUM.
Full Sales Cycle Ownership: manage the entire process independently, from cold outreach and qualification to contract signature and account ramp-up.
Account Management: build long-term relationships with key accounts to maximise AUM growth and unlock upsell opportunities.
Market Intelligence: develop a deep understanding of the institutional cash management landscape across European markets, regulatory constraints, and competitive dynamics.
Cross-functional Collaboration: work closely with the head of sales, the founders, legal, and product teams to address institutional requirements and feed market insights back into the roadmap.
Reporting: track pipeline and performance metrics, and provide regular updates
Who we're looking for
Requirements (must-haves):
Experience: at least 3–5 years in institutional sales or business development in financial services (asset management, fintech, payments, or capital markets).
Network: you have existing relationships with CFOs, treasurers, or investment professionals at financial institutions, asset managers, or large fintech companies.
Finance knowledge: you understand how regulated financial entities manage liquidity, regulatory capital, and cash and why Spiko is a compelling answer.
European / cross-border mindset: you are comfortable operating across multiple markets.
Autonomy: you run the full sales cycle independently, from prospecting to close.
Resilience: we recruit people who get things done, rather than people who make excuses.
Languages: you are fluent in both French and English. A third European language is a strong plus.
Nice to have:
Prior experience selling to or within EMIs, payment institutions, asset management companies, or fund structures.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing cash management for financial institutions (safeguarding, regulatory capital, etc.).
Graduated from a top academic institution.
